Tower by the Thames

A Musical Comedy by Jack Wann and Ronald R. Van Stockum, Jr.

There’s real Magic in that Tower by the Thames! Meet American Egyptologist Reggie Wilson and his spunky, newly-appointed London Museum curator daughter, Beth, as they decide to join forces with a famous ancient Roman playwright, newly arrived via the Magic of the Tower by the Thames. There, they round up a zany and elusive comic villain who has recently escaped from one of the Playwright’s long-lost plays. The imaginary and the real combine in a goofy, but surprisingly thought-provoking story to provide a fanciful and interesting evening of theatre enjoyment. The outlandish characters and screwball chases, a blossoming love interest, and an offbeat, but earnest understanding of what it really means to be free, make Tower by the Thames a “mysteriously musical, mighty and magical” evening of delightful theatre.

Jubilee Barndance

A Musical by Jack Wann and Ronald R. Van Stockum, Jr.

Jubilee, Kentucky, is not a real place, but is depicted as a salute to the many, many stars, hopefuls, producers, technicians, audiences, listeners, and fans of the “little guys” in the history of country music in America.

This new musical hopefully gives long-overdue credit to the values, ideals, and aspirations of the live and radio-based Hoedown and Jamboree shows, which were such a reflection of traditional culture in the rural United States in the 1940s and 1950s.

“They had to come from somewhere…
maybe it was from Jubilee!”

The Dawn of Dusk
Three One-Act Plays

Three One-Act Plays by Jack Wann and Ronald R. Van Stockum, Jr.

The Dawn of Dusk is a creative combination of the “fiction-science” and magic realism of Ronald R. Van Stockum, Jr., and Jack Wann's lifetime of theatrical production on stages all over the country. The three plays in this volume transform performance spaces into other worlds, often surreal, but always provocative and exciting. Get ready to experience everything from talking hedge apples through mysterious solar ecplises to efforts to reassemble the fragmented spirit of humankind. The Dawn of Dusk will rouse your curiosity and feed your imagination.

“Cosmos: The Stellar Stalker” might be called “uncanny,” “strange,” and “totally off the charts.” But equally apt reactions to this drama are “amazingly thought-provoking,” “mind-boggling,” and “one heck of a fun journey.”

In a hidden place, we find the evil Marloth projecting his need for survival out into the universe in search of nourishment. He does this in the form of his son and clone, Adrian. The nourishment he requires spells annihilation for its target.

We are now that target. Here on Earth, a special young lad, battling serious limitations, has been singled out as a force potentially powerful enough to join with other more benevolent powers in the universe to confront the nefarious Marloth. To ready the young boy for that which will be required in this effort, the powerful Cosmos and others like him, have arrived to prepare the way.

Bouncing from advertising agencies, television studios, and industrial sites of all kinds to abandoned tunnels employed for the construction of very advanced technologies, the action never lets up as we see that either the evil Marloth and his clone must be defeated or the world we know faces destruction.
